    Art and Science Exhibition – Curiosity 2017 @KENZ

    The ignited  minds of KENZ International School presented CURIOSITY 2017: A beauteous Art and Science exhibition on the 26th of October,2017. The welcome theme of the event was Earth and its Evolution.

    The  mesmerizing show was a potpourri of  skillfully prepared items for display.It was a sprightly display of  handicraft, paintings,origamy,wall hangings,lamps,aesthetically decorated pitchers, which presented the creative talent of the students.

    The teachers  presented the scene of evolution at the entrance . From the origin of himalayas to  first cell to dinosaurs to humans and much more, the hanging gallery and the dinosaurs added to the beauty of the theme. The parents enjoyed the presentation  of students in the classes , auditorium and on the ground.

    The students  prepared working models wherein they showed the working of fire and burglar alarms, hydraulic cranes, functioning of the lungs, satellites ,missiles, static electricity, thermal powerplants etc

    Even the tiny tots of KENZ International School produced some amazing craft items, with assistance from their mentors. They made  paper huts,bumble-bees,birthday caps,photo frames,napkin holders,bouquets,rainbow clouds,abacus and so on.

    The students were zealous to explain the concept of their project to every passing onlooker. The projects ranged from a simple classic volcano science project to ejected hydro acceleration model.

    The class projects made with the teacher was the centre of attraction in each class. “The team work made the dream work”

    KENZ  applauds the parents , students and staff organizers of the Exhibition  for a job well done, and making the school children an integral part of CURIOSITY 2017.

    (Fight against Breast Cancer ) at Jeel Yanbu School

    This is how JYIS has started the day this morning Thursday, October 26, 2017 colored all in pink to raise the supporting voice for the breast cancer victims and to enhance the awareness and importance of annual breast examination for prevention and/or early detection of the disease.

    The activity was held during the morning assembly program followed by first period only where a group of students presented some facts and information about the disease and the month of October as an awareness month for people to bare in mind the annual examination of breast either through self- exam or seeing a physician for a mammogram. The points covered in the presentation were the causes and risk factors of the disease, symptoms and self-exam for any abnormalities where a lemon model were used representing the human breast, ducts and lymph nodes as well as how maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help in preventing the disease.

     

    For years, October and the color pink have signified Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All students and staff of JYIS are now familiar with the birth of pink ribbon and that it stands for prevention, detection, treatment, reflecting the symbol’s mission, and spread of awareness.

     

    Students and teachers have contributed in writing supporting messages on “Tree of Hope” sending much of appreciation and strength to those victims and survivals around the world.

     

    Overall, today was a successful event where the whole crew of JYIS has benefit from and enjoyed.

    United Nations Day at Jeel Yanbu School

    United Nations Day

    Just like every year, JYIS celebrates the United Nations Day on October 24th 2017. On this special occasion, JYIS devoted to making known to people of the world the aims and achievements of the United Nations Organization.  JYIS conveys the greetings to all the class Teachers and their student to recognize this day in a great way.

    The celebration was in the first two periods. The activity was in their classes, each class chose a country to represent. Some of the countries are: Italy, Egypt, Pakistan, Germany, Spain, Saudi Arabia and many other countries.

    Students and teacher were so excited they wore the traditional wears for each country; they also prepared some information about their countries, and different kinds of the traditional food to share with their friends.

    United Nations Day at Al-hussan School

    United Nations Day

       

    Tuesday, October 24, 2017, Alhussan International School Yanbu activated the United Nations Day.

    In the morning assembly, the teachers explain to the students that United Nations Day has devoted to make the aims and achievements of the United Nations Organization known to people of the world.

    The purpose behind its establishment is to prevent further warfare, to make this world prosper and peaceful.

    The promise of work for the poor and innocent should be revived. Many parts of the world are still the victim of terrorists, hunger and illiteracy at the same time. United Nations and the member countries need to work honestly on their agenda. If United Nations and its members keep working on the purposed track, the world will be free of hunger and terrorism soon.

    Each grade conducted activities about the United Nations Day.

    Food Day at AL-Isra’a International School

    Food Day

    With an objective to create and educate children about the importance and consumption of fruits and vegetables in regular diet, the youngsters of Al Isra International School celebrated Food Day on 16th October’17.

    Students decorated the class with drawings of various fruits and vegetables apart from balloons and charts. Teachers had made interesting and simple stories on encouraging children to have vegetables and fruits in their meals. The teachers also explained the importance of fruits’ and vegetables’ intake in diet for mental and physical growth. Video was shown to the students  to educate and create awareness on the importance of  healthy diet

    On the occasion, all the children were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that vegetables and fruits are better than junk food. Children took part in the day-long activities and enjoyed themselves thoroughly which makes the day colourful.

    International teacher’s day celebration

    2017, 5 October

    The World Teachers’ day was celebrated with great spirit and enthusiasm in our school. The occasion was graced by our Manager Ms. Kholoud Al-Ahmadi , Vice Principal Ms. Fasia.P.M.  The performance of students on stage exclusively for teachers was a memorable one. Students exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Dance, music and skit made the day explicable. The students ensured that teachers enjoy every minute. Followed by the cultural programme, games like musical chair were conducted for the teachers by the students. All the students expressed their thankfulness to see their teachers and were full of beans. Speech was done by the Vice Principal.   The gifts and appreciation certificates were distributed among all the teaching and non-teaching staff.

    Happy Teachers’ Day

    Alhussan International School in Yanbu has celebrated the Teachers’ Day on Thursday October 5, 2017.

    Early in the morning, the administrators of AHISY have prepared a surprise to welcome the teachers. They distributed the flowers with a thanks letter to all teachers.

    In the morning assembly,

    The students spoke about the virtues of the teachers and their duty towards teachers. Teachers are the best guardian after parents. Therefore, students must have great respect and faith in teachers and must show good performance in the school.

    The students thank the teachers for their hard work in delivering the knowledge to the students. The students distributed flowers to the teachers, sharing cupcakes and showed their grateful for being part of this school.

     

    Students in each grade conducted activities about the teacher’s day. Students wrote a letters to express how much they love their teachers. Then they submitted those letters to their teachers as presents.

    Homeroom teachers of kindergarten conducted enjoyable activities as well. The kids spent nice time in coloring different phrases about the teachers. Kg 1 kids sang together: “Thanks for the Teacher” under the supervision of Mrs. Samah Alghamdi and Mrs. Shan Sibal.

    This day end with big smiles in the students’ and teachers’ faces. It has provided the chance for every one to become close to each other and spend a nice time. It Was a Happy Teachers’ Day.

    Teachers Day at Jeel Yanbu

    Happy Teachers Day

    Just like every year, JYIS have gathered all students and staff to celebrate the big day today October the 5th! On this special occasion, JYIS convey the best wishes and greetings to all the Teachers gathered here and to all those, who have helped us when we were students to success not just in academics but also in life.

    Students of grade 3, 4 and 5 have been fabulous on stage this morning performing a play, giving teacher’s day speech and ending it with a lovely dance passing love and gratitude to their teachers on the musical notes of “I love my teacher”. A special thanks goes to Ms. Sabah, Ms. Naghmana and Ms. Saima for taking the time to supervise and encourage their students to contribute in the program.

    Students were then left to express their feelings through writing notes and letters to teachers in the function hall, and distributing gestures in a very warm atmosphere.

    As from the school side, we never forget to appreciate our teachers and make their day where management of JYIS has arranged for a little get together breakfast for all with a simple gift to make them know how great they are being there to take a hand and opens a mind to bloom.

    Jeel Yanbu International school celebrated the 87th Saudi National Day

    With great enthusiasm, Jeel Yanbu International School’s entire staff and students celebrated the 87th Saudi National Day on Monday 25th of September, 2017. The celebration took the center stage of function hall where the atmosphere was full of euphoric excitement engendered by a various activities lined up to mark this annual historic event.

    The activity team has worked on many different performances and activities to introduce the glory of the establishment of the kingdom and the eternal unification where everything was decked out in green and red which indicates the colour of the Saudi national flag mixed with the traditional gaiety and patriotic fervor.

    The program commenced with the strains of Saudi National anthem playing through the speakers, followed by Quran and the opening speech / PowerPoint presentation about the history of KSA and its 2030 vision. Girls from grade 8 then performed a silent play passing appreciation and gratitude to the soldiers under the name of “ ???? ???????”. Teachers and students took this opportunity to leave a message on the soldiers board writing the kindest words. Many other activities has also taken place during the celebration such as the Saudi Operate, Saudi Quiz, colouring and cross words. Many souvenirs were also distributed depicting Saudi culture.

    The school has also created an E-wall at (https://padlet.com/studentaffairs_jyis/f358lzcmtyg) and shared it on social media accounts where students, teachers and people can share a feeling and leave a comment for this occasion.
