NATIONAL SAUDI DAY COMPITITION
Saudi Arabia is not only the homeland of the Arab peoples—it is thought that the first Arabs originated on the Arabian Peninsula—but also the homeland of Islam, the world’s second-largest religion.
On 23 rd September King AbdulAziz Al-Saud unified the country hence Saudi Arabia celebrates the national day on 23 rd September.
Saudi Arabia occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula, with the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba to the west and the Persian Gulf to the east. Neighboring countries are Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Yemen, and Bahrain, connected to the Saudi mainland by a causeway. Saudi Arabia contains the world’s largest continuous sand desert, the Rub Al-Khali, or Empty Quarter. Its oil region lies primarily in the eastern province along the Persian Gulf. The Saudi government estimates the total area as 2,217,949 square kilometers, while other reputable estimates vary between 2,149,690 and 2,240,000 sq. kilometers
Saudi Arabia the great country, it’s a dream place of every Muslim whether he or she is from any part of the world. I being Indian always thought democracy is one of the best way of managing things but after visiting Saudi Arabia and living here I realized how effective the kingdom rules are, I am very much inspired by the government systems of Saudi Arabia whether it is related to judicial laws, traffic or cleanliness of kingdom, Saudi Arabia is a wonderful place where a person can concentrate about this life and there after life.
One can enjoy the excellent shopping malls and amazing beaches of KSA. The most important attraction is the two holy places Mecca and Medina, Amazed about the facility provided by the KSA government in these places and in rest of the country. Alhamdulillah I got an Opportunity to perform hajj with ease just because of the excellent management by the government provided to accommodate pilgrims and facility given to them.
One more interesting aspect of Saudi Arabia is the food, culture and heritage, The Saudi Arabian cuisine include wheat, rice, lamb, chicken, yogurt, potatoes , dates. Shawarma Falafel etc . The two religious festivals are celebrated in much the same way. Eid al Fitr is an event filled with numerous foods, which differ from family to family, but always includes dates and generally also consists of various meats or fish, grains, and vegetables. This celebration occurs immediately after Ramadan, a religious holiday that requires fasting for 30 days.
The second major food celebration is Eid al Adha, which is only celebrated after a pilgrim returns from haj, the mandatory journey for every able Muslim to go to Mecca. Again, this festival contains a large number of rice and meat dishes, including many of those served during Eid al Fitr.
Over all it’s an amazing gifted country by al mighty and I enjoy living here. Happy Saudi day and happy Eid al Adha.
