Spelling Bee competition is the most famous educational competition in the world. In order to activate this competition among our students, the spirit of enthusiasm and the desire to learn were the main terms of this competition. Jeel Yanbu International School has arranged the event of Jeel Spellers. It took place on 14th February 2019. Jeel Spellers, the exclusive competition of Spelling Bee for the primary grades. Individual and collective memorizing of spellings payed off on this day for grades 3, 4 and 5.
At the beginning, the event started with the competition among grade 3A, 3B and 3C. The competition consists of three rounds. In the second round, one class should be eliminated from the competition which was grade 3C. during the third round, grade 3B won over grade 3A.
The final competition among grade 3B, 4 and 5 started with excitement. In the second round, one class should be eliminated from the competition which was grade 5. During the third round, grade 3B won over grade 4. The students received the medals from the Principal Ms.Bara’ah and MOE representative Ms.Nadia.
As 3B boys won, then was grade 4, followed by 3A girls. The students Nabiha, Juwariyah, Habib and Huzaifah will go further into the Inter-School Spelling Bee competition, competing against other schools in Radhwa International School in coming few weeks.
Jeel Speller’s competition was supervised by Ms.Mona Alalwani and the announcer was Ms.Meaad Alansari. The judges were Ms.Shimaa Kamal Ms.Nusrat Ms.Shehla.

On the 16th of February 2019: The sports day event of our school was held in the last month in our school ground. On that day, the atmosphere of the school took a festive look. Great interest was observed among the students and the guardians.
The Sports Day was inaugurated by releasing balloons and a beautifully decorated placard bearing the School’s name.
The guests arrived at 9 am. Before the events began, students were lined up to start opening the event by School march. There were four team houses red, yellow, green, and blue. After each team had done school march opening and welcome speech had started with Ms Margie then bouquet and flowers presentation were done by the students.
Quran rehearsing was started at first then national anthem. The program began with welcomed dance which was arranged by Ms.Sumble and Ms.Abrar then we started with house performance green, blue, red, and yellow.
Teams competed in events including sprints, relays, sack race, obstacle race and skipping the race. Fun time with a staff relay and a tug- of- war between the houses added to the enjoyment.
The guests were highly pleased with each house performance. They encouraged us to take part in sports and games. Then the Headmaster announced the name of the prize winners. The winners were awarded prizes.

We celebrate teacher’s day every year, students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. A celebration in that regard was conducted at Jeel Yanbu International School on 7th October 2018 (Sunday) during second period (8:20 am – 9:30 am).
The program was hosted by Nadeen Naser(Grade 9 ). As per program the celebration started with the Recitation of Holy Quran, first few verses of Surah e Rehman were recited by Arishba Riaz(Grade 9). Then Azwa zaigham(Grdae 9), recited this hadith “ the Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) said: “ God, His angels and all those in Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge” .
After the recitation n hadith Wafiah Ahmed (grade 3) presented her speech on teacher’s day. She thanked all the teachers for their hard work and love for the students. She explained how teachers motivate, help and encourage their students. Later students of lower primary presented the performance on song “Teacher, I love you” it was a lovely performance led by Taif Al Johani (grade1A). Students showed their love to the teachers by giving handmade cards to them. Some of the students wrote poems, some did art work to thank their teachers. All the decorations were done by our lovely teachers Miss Margie, Miss Jennylien, Miss Phoebe and Miss Valerie.
The School management also arranged small tokens of appreciation for the teachers. After that our teachers were entertained with refreshment during the break time.

On 18th of September 2018, Al Hussan International School Yanbu has Celebrated the Saudi National Day. It plays a key role in enhancing the sense of nationalism and community among young generations in order to instill the concept of patriotism in them, deepen the spirit of good citizenship and strengthen its values. We were honored to host Ms. Ohoud Al-Taliouni a supervisor from foreign education.
The day celebrated as a symbol of unity, glory, and dignity. The students were dressed in Saudi Arabian traditional style clothing in order to celebrate the Saudi National day.The day was marked with enthralling cultural performance ranging from patriotic songs to folk dances like Saudi ParadeThe celebration started with recitation of Quran. Then everyone stood for the Saudi national anthem. Followed by presenting the main pillars of Saudi vision 2030. We enjoyed watching the Saudi parade presented by our students.The students gave a speech about the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Followed by “Be careful” speech explaining to the students that it is important for all Saudi citizens to pay attention toward any action that may harm the safety and the security of their country such as taking videos or sharing any kind of documents that may expose any sort of information to their enemies. We must be careful to maintain the unity and the stability of our country and to eliminate any chance that our enemy may benefit from.We have presented leaders’ sayings of the kings of Saudi Arabia.After cutting the cake, the students passed by corners and enjoyed the activities.They expressed their feeling in this day and wrote words for our kingdom.The Saudi National Day Celebration was FABULOUS.

“The National Day is a precious occasion in which the sons of this country remember the historical saga that was made by the Kingdom’s founder King Abdul Aziz,”With great enthusiasm, Jeel Yanbu International School’s entire staff and students celebrated the 86th Saudi National Day. This year, the school divided the celebration into five days from September 16th till September 20th. During Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays’ morning assemblies, students were refreshed with some important facts about Kings and rulers of Saudi Arabia over the decade’s, and the different regions of Saudi Arabia.
On Tuesday, September 18, the school’s function hall was transformed into the folkloric ground with a clannish setup, and a corner with many antiques representing different regions of KSA was displayed for the entire school to get the tribal sensation. Some students came in traditional dresses, costumes representing different occupations found in KSA, and in green t-shirts. The green coloured spirit was evident throughout the school. The grand celebration didn’t only include the stunning decoration; it also consisted of brilliant performances and ancestral delicious food.The day celebrated as a symbol of unity, victory glory and dignity.The programme commenced with Quran, National Anthem a National songs.Continued with a performance which reinforces the national spirit and shows the role of the courageous soldiers.Next a poem of resolve and victory presented in Arabic by one of grade 9 students.Last but not least all of the students showed their national dress with Saudi flags on the stage with a national enthusiastic song.While everyone left the function hall they wrote on a national mural to express their feelings and communicate their messages on the National Day.There was positive sense of excitement about the school, which gave the occasion a special flavour that has made it a much-anticipated part of the school calendar.

Welcome Back Our Dear Students !
After getting a refreshing period in long summer break , the students are always very enthusiastic to go back to school.
Al Isra International school Yanbu welcomed the students from kindergarten to Year 12 on their first day of school.
Students arrived with a mix of emotions. Most of them were very excited and desirous about starting school especially Kindergarten kids . The teachers approached them personally to make them feel comfortable.
And welcoming on the first day of school was a great fun . There was a welcome corner at the entrance to welcome the students.
Students were then directed to their classrooms and were welcomed by class teachers in their class rooms. The teachers introduced themselves and then they were introduced to their peers. They were informed about the rules and regulations of the school and class rooms.
The teachers prepared different activities for the purpose of orientation. These activities helped the teachers to evaluate them. These activities are always very beneficial for new students as these activities help them to soften the blow of entry into a new framework.
Kindergarten kids were given home like environment to make them feel comfortable as many of them were nervous though some of them were excited.
There was a refreshment and snacks corner set up for students and for their mothers.
There was also arts corner for primary school kids with themes of summer vacation and Eid as they had their eids in summer holidays.
The children had some fun filled activities with their class fellows and class teachers.
The students had a wonderful daythat was filled with lot of fun.
AL-Israá International School
Monday 3rd of September 2018, Al Hussan International School Yanbu welcomed kindergarten kids and Grade 1 students in their first day of school.
Early in the morning, the staff welcomed the students and guide them to their respective classrooms. Teachers introduced themselves to the students, introduced the students to each others and helped them to get comfortable in the school environment. They distributed the badges, the welcome letter and the weekly plan to the students. Then, they explained to them the classrooms instructions.
Homeroom teachers took their class students on the school tour and showed them the facilities.
After that, the students had their breakfast then they went to the gym to enjoy the activities.
The teachers prepared different corners with summer theme and provided enjoyable activities to the students.
Corners are: Art and Craft Corner, Photography Corner, Face Painting Corner, Summer Desserts Corners and Beauty Salon.
After done with the activities, children enjoyed watching cinema show and having snacks.
They spent a nice time with their new friends.

WORLD HEALTH DAY REPORT
On 8th April 2018, World Health Day was celebrated under the guidance
of Ms. Yasmeena Farooq and Ms. Shaima Shabander.
The theme of the 2018 was Universal Health Coverage: Everyone Everywhere. Assembly was started with Prayer & Translation and followed by Thought, Speech and Extempore. Grade 2 Students present an action song based on health and hygiene. Some good tips, Do’s and Don’ts related to health were given by the students. Quotes related to health and list of the countries still below the health level according to WHO and list of the countries achieved the level of health. Our Grade one students visited the nursing room. Badges were distributed to students and teachers. For lower grades drawing and colouring activity was done. and Healthy drinks were distributed to the students.
Our Principal (Mrs. Mumtaz) gave valuable speech regarding health and hygiene and took pledge to take steps towards healthy atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the program.
Reading Week 2018
“You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.” – Dr. Seuss
On the first week of April 2018 Jeel Yanbu International School celebrated the reading week during the activity period under the supervision of the academic principal Ms. Bara’ah. The purpose of this activity was to encourage students to read and love reading as a door of education where students at all ages will benefit from developing their language and thinking skills.
There was a different activity on each day of the week which interest students and encourage them to read upon participation. This included the Wacky Sunday Costume where students had to dress up on their favourite book or movie character. Knock your shoes off day where they had to read about stuff decoration and convert their shoes into a piece of art on the runway. And a pyjama day, enhancing the reading habit before going to bed. Other activities have also been implemented such as the general knowledge competition, riddles for different grade levels, book exhibition by English teachers and the librarian and an educational trip to Jarir Bookstore.
At the end, students and teachers had a lot of great Reading Week adventures. The Activity was a huge success where enthusiasm and effervescence overflowed amongst students and teachers.
Recognition for all participants and winners for the different competitions were given on Thursday for the nice effort and creativity that they have applied.
Big thanks to all our English teachers, Ms. Lama and Ms. Saima for the extra effort and lovely plan of the week.
